It’s a significant moment for me, and I’ve ordered a few author copies. I don’t expect many sales — competition with millions of other titles is fierce, and the price might be a bit high. The paperback costs $15.99, and the hardcover $28.99. However, I’ve set the Kindle edition at $3.99 to make it more accessible.
I’m not asking you, as a reader of this article, to buy or read my book. I have no expectations that people will rush to purchase it just because I mention it here.
I understand this well, as I myself don’t often browse Amazon or other marketplaces to buy books online. I don’t shop around, but I’m writing to let you know that the book exists.
I also want to express the immense joy and satisfaction I derive from writing and publishing books — primarily the joy of writing itself. The writing process is incredibly important to me, whether I’m working on nonfiction or fictional texts like poetry and novels.
There’s an indescribable satisfaction in immersing myself in a fictional universe where characters come to life, allowing me to experience, along with them, the significant aspects of life — love, loss, sorrow, joy, insight, and inspiration.
Especially that profound joy everyone experiences at times — the joy of simply being alive. This is what writing, and particularly the novel, is all about.
