The Men in the Marsh

The Men in the Marsh

At last, a work of fiction in which a Conservative-supporting capitalist is portrayed as a decent, kind and altruistic human being. Almost invariably such characters are presented as being selfish, callous and corrupt. My new novel “The Men in the Marsh” bucks the trend with its empathetic treatment of the main character, ambitious entrepreneur Graham Robinson.

The novel traces his life, loves and politics in an entertaining tale which has my usual mix of romance, crime and humour. It also explores Robinson’s passion for bringing about a popular form of capitalism where all workers have a share in the success of the businesses or other organisations which employ them.

The action starts with the notorious Brighton bomb which was an attempt to assassinate UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and members of her Government - an event which haunts Robinson decades later.

Published by Blossom Spring Publishing, “The Men in the Marsh” is available from Amazon as a paperback and as an e-book on Kindle.
