Pandora's Regret

Pandora's Regret

A gilded gift, a curious sight,

A vessel sealed, a forbidden light.

With trembling hand, I lifted high,

Ignorance my guide, a fatal cry.

A whirlwind unleashed,

a tempest's roar, A world transformed,

 forevermore.

Despair took hold, a chilling, icy grip,

As sorrow's shadow stole hope's fading slip.

A heart now heavy, a soul forlorn,

A life forever changed, a lesson born.

I yearned to turn back time, undo the deed,

To silence the chaos, the world's dire need.

Yet, in the darkness, a flicker of light,

A glimmer of hope,a guiding sight.

Though burdened by guilt,

I'll strive to mend, To learn and grow,

until life's bitter end.
